Day 1: Check-in

Check-in available from 5 p.m. at the embarkation Marina. After the technical check-in and a short presentation of the boat, you can take your seat in the cabins and board the galley before setting sail.

Day 2

We set sail at dawn and head south-west, to cover the first miles that will take us to Henningsvær. The homonymous town on the island is the main fishing centre in the region and is known as the “Venice of the Lofoten” for its natural beauty surrounded by the high mountains of the archipelago. It is also one the most lively and stylish places in the Lofoten. After you have moored in the wooden pier, you can explore the little town streets and walk among glass blowers and ceramists shops as well as little open air bars.

Day 3

We leave early in the morning to travel peacefully towards the southern coast of the archipelago, certainly one of the most beautiful and scenographic areas to visit by sea. Entering the fjord, we will reach the town of Nusfjord, one of the most ancient and well-preserved fishermen villages in Norway. Today it is not inhabited on a permanent basis, and since 1975 it is part of the Unesco World Heritage as a sign of the uniqueness of traditional Norwegian architecture. Its traditional rorbuer (literally “oarsmen houses”), with the typical red color, create a real open air museum that will leave you breathless.

Day 4

The navigation continues to the south until we reach Reine, considered the most beautiful village in Norway. Inhabited by only 300 people, it is hidden among the fjords and located at the foot of steep cliffs that create some peculiar weather conditions, preventing the water from freezing even during winter. You will be enchanted by such picture-perfect landscape with crystal clear waters reflecting, as if they were a mirror, little white and red houses and the vivid green of the mountains.

Day 5

After a good breakfast, we head south to reach from Reine the little town of Å. The hamlet, which in the ancient Norse language means “little river”, has the shortest name for a town in the world, but is also the last letter of the Norwegian alphabet, as to identify Å with the last border town in the spectacular Lofoten archipelago. From there you can go ashore and explore the town, enclosed by impressive cliffs and mountains, and visit the Lofoten Stockfish Museum, dedicated to stockfish fishing, as well as the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum.

Day 6

We leave before dawn to travel back north through a long and amazing navigation that will take us from Å to the island of Skrova. We will arrive in the early afternoon in its homonymous fishing village, were you can go on an unmissable shore excursion. Once you have moored the boat, cross the village by following a little path that takes you quickly on the top of the mountain overlooking the hamlet. In front of you, you will find one of the most beautiful views ever imagined: the mountain range of the “Lofoten Wall” in all its majestic beauty.

Day 7

From Skrova, we raise sail towards the north and navigate across Trollfjord, one the most beautiful and enchanted fjords in the whole archipelago, whose name recalls the fairy-tale setting appearing in front of you. Almost 2 km long, this fjord separates the Lofoten from the Vesterålen, the two northern Norwegian archipelagos, and its steep cliffs narrow until they are only 100 meters wide. From Trollfjord, we leave heading for Svolvær. There you can visit the Lofote Temagalleri, a museum entirely dedicated to the art of cod and whale fishing, and the nearby Lofoten War Museum, where you can admire a wide collection of relics and old military uniforms. Return to the Marina at 18:00 with overnight stay in the port included.

Day 8: Check-out

Disembarkation is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

The itinerary may be subject to variations based on weather conditions, safety conditions and the technical assessments of the captain of the boat. This program is intended as indicative and not binding.

The viw of the Northern Light or the Midnight's sun are two unforgettable experience, where you have the opportunity to take some enviable photos. Birdwatching and observing marine creatures will give the opportunity to nature lovers to get directly in touch with them. Lofoten offer to adventure lovers the opportunity for different trekking or bike routes to explore better the island, while tranquillity lovers will enjoy the best moments during sunsets and sunrises in completely silence. Unmissable the taste of some typical dried cod (stockfish) to rest yourself after the excurions around the island; don't miss the opportunity to visit a rorbu, the typical fishermen's house, usually coloured with a eye-catching red.
