Summer, holiday time and sailing boat! The perfect time to leave behind the worries of the working season and recharge themself in the middle of nature.

A seaside holiday to discover new routes is the best way to get away from the routine life of everyday and live a relaxing experience.

The Italian coasts offer a wide range of enchanted places to sail towards, there is only plenty of choice.

One of the most beautiful routes is that of the Cilento Coast: coves and coasts enchanted and wild that open onto a crystal clear sea. The entire coastal stretch that goes from Salerno to Maratea is of a rare beauty and gives the best of itself when it is visited by sea with a pleasant coastal navigation.

Places of natural interest and villages of rare beauty perched on the sea follow each other during navigation. Thanks to the many ports where you can moor: Agropoli, Acciaroli, Palinuro, Marina di Camerota and Maratea, the stages of navigation are short. In this way you will have the opportunity to go ashore and visit the many historical and artistic places of the area.

From Salerno to Acciaroli, the magic of Cilento between nature and archaeology

Starting from Salerno and sailing along the coast, you arrive at Agropoli, the port of entry of Cilento, medieval village perched on a promontory on the sea. Lively and typical restaurants, it is the ideal base for a visit to the archaeological remains of Paestum and Velia. Its marina is the largest in the Cilento area and can accommodate up to 1200 boats.

Proceeding along the coast you reach Punta Licosa, the southern tip of the Gulf of Salerno with its beautiful pine forest that descends to the sea. A real eye-catcher for those who approach it during navigation! The stretch of sea in front of Punta Licosa is a protected area of great value because of the biodiversity it hosts.

Passing Punta Licosa, paying attention to the shallows that surround it, you will reach the bay of Ogliastro, one of the jewels of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Proceeding southwards you arrive at Acciaroli, with its characteristic medieval village and its crowded tourist port. In this stretch of sea, which has the cleanest water in Italy,  numerous shallows make navigation more insidious.

From Palinuro and its beauties proceeding south

The Cilento coast south of Acciaroli is a place of enchantment and unforgettable views.

Capo Palinuro, with its lighthouse and tower, is one of the most interesting places to sail towards. Its southern side is a succession of bays and coves of great beauty among which stands the cove of Buondormire, reachable only by boat. It is a romantic beach with white sand and crystal clear sea bordered by high cliffs. A glance that has nothing to envy at times of exotic sea.

Marina di Camerota, in south of Palinuro, is part of the Cilento National Park and, as such, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and biosphere reserve. The Mediterranean maquis of centuries-old olive trees that slopes down to the sea is the characteristic feature of this coast of rare beauty.

Leaving Marina di Camerota and continuing to the south you reach Maratea, the pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea with its sequence of enchanting beaches.
